IDS presents Geo radar Ballast Assessment to Network Rail

At a presentation on 6th November, IDS Spa supported by Utilx Ltd introduced their unique geo radar ballast assessment system to Network Rail (previously Railtrack). The presentation initiated by SWK Pavement Engineering and Charador allowed IDS to explain their track record in identifying areas of potential rail ballast problem using geo radar readings taken with a locomotive travelling at up to 80km/hr. Everyone felt that the presentation was most interesting and identified a system that Network Rail plans to evaluate further.
